Dory
"Hey, Mr. Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, do you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE IMPORTANCE OF BODY LANGUAGE
Age: 30ish
Face Claim: Ellen Degeneres
Occupation: Zoo greeter
BUT ON THE WHOLE I'VE BEEN A SAINT
Personality: Dory is friendly and sociable, the sort of person who will give you a big, warm smile when you've had a bad day and wave at you as you pass by. She's difficult to anger, though it is possible to do so, and very optimistic on the whole. However, she suffers from short term memory loss and can often come off as a bit foolish because of this. In spite of her appearing ditzy and goofy, Dory has a heart of gold and is willing to help anyone who needs it if she's given the chance.
Place of Residence: East Village
IT WON'T COST MUCH
Friends: Marlin, Nemo
Enemies: None
Family: None that she remembers
Gang, Group or Organization: None
YA POOR UNFORTUNATE SOUL
Sample Post "Hi! Hello, it's nice to see you again! ...At least, I think it is. Have you been here before?" Dory asked. She didn't get an answer beyond a polite 'No, but thank you anyway,' and waved as the little family went off on their way. A fond little sigh escaped the woman as she watched, and before long she returned her attention to what was happening around her. All she had to do was stay put and greet people as they came. That was a fairly easy job! Of course, when it came to her short term memory loss things got a little more... Interesting. It wasn't long before Dory was meandering a bit, twirling in place and kind of just looking upward as she moved.
"Gosh, look at that sky," Dory said. "It's so pretty! You know, you don't get to see many days where the sky is this clear. I bet you OW. What was that?" Dory had run right into a pole without even realizing it. That was how much she had wandered as a result of her little memory dip. When she realized this, it took a moment to remember what had been happening. ...Oh, right. She was supposed to be standing and greeting people.
"Sorry about that," Dory said, not even thinking about how weird it was to apologize to a pole. She turned and moved back to where she was supposed to be. This was a typical sort of day for Dory, and although it did irritate her co-workers that she seemed to get away with her little memory lapses everyone more or less seemed to just let her do her own thing. Besides, she was harmless. What was the worst that could happen?
